From the Last Vat to Vranec: The Story of the 2026 Vintage

From the Last Vat to Vranec: The Story of the 2026 Vintage

From the Vineyard to the Vat

In our previous blog, “From Vineyard to Winery: The Journey of Our Grapes After Harvest,” we followed the journey of our grapes after harvest — from the moment they are hand-picked in the vineyard, through transportation, and finally to their arrival at the winery.

That is where the story of the grapes in the vineyard ended.

But the story of the wine was only beginning.

Now, we continue from exactly that point.

The grapes have arrived at the winery, and the last vat of Vranec for the 2026 vintage is now full. 🍇

Today It's in the Vat. Soon, It Will Be Vranec.

Once the grapes arrive at the winery and are placed in the vat, one of the most important stages in red winemaking begins — fermentation.

During fermentation, the natural sugars in the grapes gradually turn into alcohol. At the same time, the grapes begin to develop the characteristics of the wine they will become.

But this is not a process we simply leave to happen on its own.

During this stage, we carefully monitor the development of the grapes and wine, the temperature and progress of fermentation, as well as the contact with the grape skins and seeds.

Every step matters.

The 2026 Vintage

This year has reminded us once again that the story of wine begins long before a bottle is opened.

It begins in the vineyard.

It continues with the harvest.

Then comes the winery.

And now, with the last vat filled, a new chapter begins for our 2026 Vranec.

We cannot show you the finished wine just yet.

But we can show you how it comes to life.

Follow us and join us throughout the journey.

Today it's in the vat. 🍇
Soon, it will be Vranec. 🍷

From our family to yours.
